About this place
Pair a parfait piled with seasonal fruit with a yuzu soda. At SOMEWHERE, part of the pleasure is taking time to choose something sweet and a drink to go with it. One diner enjoyed a peach parfait with yuzu soda, a combination that left an impression: fruit dessert alongside a crisp, refreshing soda.
The menu includes a fruit parfait (900 yen), with fruit that changes with the seasons, as well as black tea and matcha terrines (600 yen each). The black tea terrine is described as house-made with tea, and the matcha terrine is house-made too. These desserts suit both a day when fruit takes centre stage and one when you fancy the flavour of tea. Another visitor ordered the original bavarois and noted its generous pieces of fruit. If seasonal fruit desserts appeal, it is worth checking what is on offer that day.
For drinks, the yuzu and cassis cream sodas (800 yen each) come topped with vanilla ice cream and cut fruit. Tea options include hot green tea (700 yen), served with a small glass and a pot, and hot black tea from MARIAGE FRÈRES (900 yen). Choose soda with a fruit dessert, or take your time over a terrine and tea from the pot; there are different ways to make a pause here your own.
The interior is described as a tiled space reminiscent of a public bath. The cafe is on the 4 floor of a building in Sangenjaya, at Taishido 2-chome, Setagaya.
